Design-Build a complete 11,900 sq. ft. renovation and new addition to the existing facility while maintaining full operations. |
Neffsville Veterinary Clinic A complicated construction and operations phasing plan was developed during construction to maintain all current operations through construction. We conducted an existing building use analyses and feasibility study to design a state of the art facility that focused on client/ patient care and service while using the design to create more efficient work flow for staff and doctors. These goals were accomplish by lessening the conventional “clinical” presentation of the facility through more inviting materials, colors, and furnishings. The waiting area has a “living room” setting which carries into the exam rooms as well. A dedicated comfort/ consult room was added for critical client/ patient concerns as well as a new dental suite, intensive care center, and a pet resort with canine and feline condominiums and exercise areas. We were engaged to assist this client with expanding the current 3,000 sq. ft. facility so that they could offer improved services to their community. |
East York Veterinary CenterBeing a sole practice, there was a challenging budget defined early so creative planning would be critical to meeting the client’s goals. Utilizing our integrated design-build approach, completing existing building space use analyses, staff interviews, feasibility analyses of plan options to budget cost were necessary to arrive at the optimal solution. The final design solution is a 3,400 sq. ft. addition that will vastly improve the client/ patient waiting and out-patient spaces while adding a new pet resort with feline and canine condominiums. The new waiting area and exam rooms will have an outdoor setting with a water feature, wall murals, vaulted ceilings, and a cottage design for each exam room. Revisions to the outpatient area include an expanded surgery and dental suite and an intensive care center. To be completed Spring 2008 |
York Animal Emergency ClinicThis client acquired a space that had to be renovated to serve a growing patient demand. The clients program was adapted to existing footprint and allowed them a total increase of approximately 3000 square feet over original location. Their involvement during design was crucial all the way through to paint color selections which were chosen for their calming tendencies as pet owners wait through various emergencies. Construction was completed in fall of 2007. |
